Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish on Tuesday had talks with Sir Jeffrey Donaldson, the Trade Envoy of the British PM, and his accompanying delegation on means of promoting join economic cooperation.
The talks took up increasing business of British companies in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) in light of the positive developments taking place there.
Mamish, who doubles as the head of SCZone, underlined the interest lent by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the zone along with investment incentives offered to businessmen operating in there.
Up to 10 percent of the world's trade is passing through the Suez Canal, Mamish pointed out, noting that this is an added value to the zone, according to a statement issued by SCZone.
Meanwhile, Donaldson invited Mamish to visit London shortly to expound investment opportunities available in the zone.
