Dubai - WAM
As per the directives of Deputy Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to improve the Financial Audit Department’s (FAD) operational processes and enhance efficiency, the department has signed a co-operation agreement with Morgan International to help its Emirati employees prepare for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
The move is part of the department’s efforts to implement programmes to realise the leadership’s objective of enhancing the efficiency and capabilities of its staff, and supporting the development of the UAE youth. The move is consistent with FAD’s strategy to develop young national talent and provide them with the tools to excel and contribute to achieving the UAE leadership’s vision.
At a meeting with CPA candidates, FAD Director-General Abdullah Ghobash affirmed that the FAD focussed on preparing the youth for future leadership of the department by building a strong foundation grounded in solid professional capabilities. The FAD always seeks to set an example in developing local talent, he said.
He also conveyed his best wishes to CPA candidates, adding that the department had spared no effort in upskilling local talent in collaboration with specialised training entities.
The CPA is one of the most prestigious certificates in accounting, issued by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). CPAs are considered an elite group of professionals. The certification opens doors for professionals to assume leadership positions in their respective domains. Morgan International is a leading international training organisation in the field of finance, accounting and auditing.
