Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Moscow wants to have normal, business and mutually respecting relations with the United States and has offered its proposals on building dialogue many times, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on Rossiya 1 TV channel.

Russia is not "forcing a friendship" upon Washington, Lavrov said. "We want to have normal, business and mutually respecting relations with everyone, including the US. We have handed over to the US our proposals on how to build these relations on many occasions. This was done at the level of the President, the Secretary of State and the Secretary of the Security Council," he said.

According to Lavrov, Russia is ready to discuss with Washington any problems in bilateral relations and pressing issues of the international agenda on an equal and mutually respecting basis. "They know what we are ready for. If there is a sphere where the Americans are ready to talk to us on an equal and respectful basis, we are open for that.".
