Egypt's bourse

Egypt's bourse continued its upward trend as all indices were up in midday trading on Thursday prompted by purchase operations by local, Arab and foreign investment funds and institutions.

The capital market gained about 6.2 billion pounds to hit EGP 445.9 billion.

The benchmark index EGX 30 leapfrogged 3.2 percent to 7,460.97 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased 0.46 percent to 362.82 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 1.5 percent taking the index up to 780.94 points
