The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices showed varied performance at the close of trading on Wednesday amid sale operations by Arab investment funds and purchase operations by local and foreign investors.
The capital market gained about 2.8 billion pounds to stand at EGP 718.1 billion, amid transactions worth about 815 million pounds.
The main benchmark index EGX 30 upped by 0.41 percent to reach 13,797.25 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) decreased by 0.27 percent to register 700.89 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index went down by 0.13 percent taking the index down to 1,599.71 points.
