EGX shuts on mixed note, benchmark down 0.4 pct

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes showed mixed performance at the close of Wednesday's trading.
The market capital gained about EGP 1.8 billion, reaching EGP 717.7 billion, after transactions hit EGP 688.6 million. 
The EGX 30 benchmark index declined 0.42 percent, closing at 13,580.76 points.
Meanwhile, the broader EGX 70 index of the small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) surged 0.53 percent, registering 721.83 points.
Also, the all-embracing EGX 100 index was up 0.18 percent, recording 1,619.09 points.
