The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained about EGP 3 billion last week, bringing market capital up from EGP 389.7 billion to EGP 392.7 billion, according to a weekly report of the bourse.
The main benchmark EGX 30 index rose by 0.17 percent to 6,089 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up by 0.65 percent to 352 points.
Meanwhile, the all-embracing EGX 100 index increased by 0.61 percent to hit 724 points.
