The dollar was quoted at 78.04-06 yen versus 78.01-11 yen in New York late Thursday afternoon and 78.13-15 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. It moved between 77.99 yen and 78.12 yen during the day, changing hands most frequently at 78.10 yen.
