European stocks closed up on Wednesday, with London\'s FTSE-100 index rising 0.74 percent to 5,450.49 points. In Paris the CAC-40 climbed 0.52 percent to 3,157.34 points and in Frankfurt the DAX-30 gained 0.61 percent to 5,913.53 points.
