European stocks posted strong gains on Wednesday, with Paris\'s CAC ending the day up 2.42 percent to 3,229.76 points. Meanwhile Frankfurt\'s DAX 30 index gained 2.21 percent to 5,994.47 points and London\'s FTSE-100 rose 0.85 percent to 5,441.8 points.
