German stocks climbed by more than three percent in late afternoon trading, following strong gains on Wall Street. At 1446 GMT the DAX 30 index was up 3.26 percent to 5,860.85 points, as Wall Street was showing gains of near three percent on light Columbus Day holiday trading.
