Japanese shares rose more than One per cent Tuesday as investor sentiment was bolstered by overnight rallies on Wall Street and European markets. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average added 102.55 points, or 1.16 per cent, to close at 8,953.9 while the broader-based Topix index was up 8.47 points, or 1.12 per cent, at 767.3, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA".
