Japanese stocks fell Monday on persistent eurozone debt woes, amid a lack of other major trading cues. The benchmark 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 34.31 points, or 0.39 percent, from Friday to 8,767.09. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 1.57 points, or 0.21 percent lower to 750.45. On the First Section, advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones 751 to 747, with 162 others remaining unchanged. Trading volume on the main section fell to 1,450.17 million shares from Friday\'s 1,671.40 million. Turnover was 903.2 billion yen (11.58 billion U.S. dollars).
