The Qatar Exchange was slightly down on Monday 24.77 points or 0.29% to 8,594.86 points from the previous closing of 8,619.63 . The volume of shares traded was up to 9,902,707 from 7,580,104 on Sunday, and the value of shares increased to QR332,261,205.17 from QR278,170,647.75 Sunday. Among the top losers were Barwa Real Estate whose share dropped by 3.24% to QR29.90, Electricity & Water fell 1.33% to QR141.10, Qatar Telecom lost 0.94% to QR147.00 and United Dev. Company down 3.28% to QR20.61. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector added 23.13 points while the Insurance sector gained 8.65 points. The Qatar industrial sector dropped 47.57 points and the Services sector down 55.13 points.
