The Qatar Exchange was down on Thursday 52.61 points or 0.62% to 8,444.79 points from the previous closing of 8,497.40. The volume of shares was traded fell to 7,042,464 from 7,364,405 on Wednesday, and the value of shares down to QR267,864,677.04 from QR 305,367,678.88 Wednesday. Among the top losers were Industries Qatar whose share dropped by 2.66% to QR124.40, Barwa lost 1.17% to QR29.60, Qatar Fuel down 1.09% to QR244.30 and Al Ahli Bank fell 9.88% to QR72.10. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector fell 41.40 and the Insurance sector dropped 34.57 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 159.03 points and the Services sector was down 28.49 points.
