The Singapore stock market finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 22.15 points, or 0.76 percent, to close at 2,940.1. A total of 3.32 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 97 billion Singapore dollars (1.58 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 338 to 125, while 319 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 16.91 points, or 0.58 percent, to close at 2,917.95 on Friday.
