US stocks ended mostly lower on Tuesday, as investors turned cautious on the last trading day of the month and ahead of key economic data releases this week.

    The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI fell 86.09 points, or 0.48%, to 17,787.13. The S&P 500 SPX lost 2.11 points, or 0.1%, to 2,096.95. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC added 14.55 points, or 0.29%, to 4,948.06.
