Forty-three ships transited the Suez Canal on Monday, with a total cargo of 2.5 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 22 vessels carrying around 1.3 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 21 ships laden with about 1.2 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.
