Forty-four ships transited the Suez Canal on Monday, with a total cargo of 2.7 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 20 vessels carrying around 1.2 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 24 ships carrying about 1.5 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.
