Forty-four ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.7 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 25 vessels carrying around 1.3 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 19 ships carrying about 1.3 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.
