Forty-five ships transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday, with a total cargo of 2.9 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 25 ships laden with 1.3 million tons while the north-bound convoy included 20 vessels carrying 1.6 million tons, according to statistics by the Suez Canal Authority.
