Forty-seven ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.6 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 25 vessels carrying around 1.4 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 22 ships laden with about 1.2 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.
