Forty-nine ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, with a total cargo of 3.1 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 24 vessels carrying around 1.4 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 25 ships laden with about 1.7 million tons, according to a statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.
