Fifty ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, with a total cargo of 2.7 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 22 vessels carrying around one million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 28 ships carrying about 1.7 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.
