As many as 52 ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.9 million tons.

The south-bound convoy comprised 28 vessels carrying 1.5 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 24 ships laden with 1.4 million tons, according to statistics by the Suez Canal Authority.
