Fifty-three ships transited the Suez Canal on Sunday, with a total cargo of 3.700 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 23 vessels carrying around 1.900 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 30 ships laden with about 1.800 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
