Fifty-six ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 3.7 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 30 ships laden with two million tons while the north-bound convoy included 26 vessels carrying 1.7 million tons, according to statistics by the Suez Canal Authority.
