Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Khaled Atef Abdel Ghaffar conferred here with Director General of Campus France Agency on means of bolstering cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education.
During the meeting, that was held at the Egyptian Cultural Office in Paris, the two sides discussed means of increasing the number of scholarships to Egyptian students as they signed a letter of intent whereby the French side will be committed to providing places for Egyptian researchers in their various specializations.
They also addressed establishing branches for the French universities which have the highest international standards in the New Administrative Capital with the aim of turning the new capital into a hub for scientific research in the Middle East region.
Through a network of representatives, Campus France maintains a presence in each of France's research and higher education clusters, or PRES. The representatives' task is to promote dialogue and cooperation between the institutions that make up the cluster and Campus France's offices around the world. In this way Campus France supports the efforts of the clusters to improve services for international students, scholars, and researchers by forging close relations with the Campus France's overseas network.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian minister met with former secretary general of the French documents house and former head of Toulouse Business School on ways to beef up scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
