Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saafan on Saturday said that the ministry was keen on overcoming any obstacles for continuing the production in Tourah Cement Factory.
Saafans’ remarks came after his meeting with Managing-Director of Tourah Cement Factory Jose Maria. The meeting focused on the conditions of factory and its workers after the increase of mazut prices from EGP 2500 to EGP 3500 per ton.
He stressed that the Manpower Ministry was keen on the interests of the employers and the workers alike, adding it sought to achieve a kind of stability in the production and business climate.
The minister assured that the interests of the workers should not been affected, calling on the company to make a working plan detailing its needs of mazut, its vision, and its future investments to be carefully considered by the ministry.
