As part of a series of launches on the eve of Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2015, Aldar Properties has unveiled a ‘mid-income' residential component at Shams Abu Dhabi on Al Reem Island. The ‘Meera' cluster will feature more than 400 homes located a short distance from the planned Central Park as well as the Shams Marina and East Shams public beach facilities.
Meanwhile, the other two projects announced Monday were strictly upscale — West Yas offering more than 1,000 villas on Yas Island for Emiratis and Mayan, with more than 700 apartments and townhouses with views of the Yas Links Golf Course, also on Yas Island.
"The next wave of our development plan is well underway — this pipeline of developments is further testament to our ability to deliver on our strategy of monetising our land bank, growing our recurring revenues and delivering value for all of our shareholders,” said Mohammad Al Mubarak, CEO at Aldar. The developer had last month launched Al Merief and did ground breaking at Ansam and Al Hadeel.
According to Talal Al Dhiyebi, Chief Development Officer, "Yas Island is one of the world's leading entertainment and leisure destinations and the launch of West Yas and Mayan, as well as Ansam which we launched last year, will only add to its attractiveness and value.”
