Incheon - Yonhap
A key aide to the late South Korean shipping tycoon blamed for April's deadly ferry sinking was put under formal arrest pending trial Friday on charges of embezzlement.
Prosecutors in the western port city of Incheon said Kim Hye-kyung was taken into custody after the city's district court issued an arrest warrant, citing fears that she could flee and destroy evidence. Kim was extradited from the United States on Tuesday.
