A note left by angry gas station employee in Michigan for his tardy boss has been making the rounds since it was shared on Reddit. When the employee, Joe, finished his shift at a BP station in Grand Rapids, all he wanted to do was go home. Before he could leave, his manager had to show up to relieve him. After waiting for more than an hour, Joe got sick of waiting and left for home after locking up. On his way out the door, he posted a note for his boss directly next to a "Help Wanted" sign on the station's door. Joe's note read, "Hey boss, learn to be on time or at least communicate when you are going to be late. +1 hour with no phone call is unacceptable. As you can see, the doors are locked. I went home. Fire me if you must, but realize I walked out due to YOUR negligence." The manager later told Fox 17 her alarm clock had not sounded so she arrived to work an hour and a half late. According to the manager, "the third-shift employee never called her or any other employees prior to leaving the note and locking up the store." Ryan Olthouse saw the note when he stopped at the station on his way to work. "I thought it was hilarious," he said. MLive spoke to the manager, who declined to comment Friday on the employee's status at the store.
