Egypt's budget deficit increased to 65.8 billion pounds in the period between July and September 2014.
The budget deficit stood at 59.9 billion in the same period in the last fiscal year, according to a Finance Minister statement.
Budget revenues amounted to 76.5 billion pounds during the first quarter of the 2014-2015 fiscal year compared to 58.6 billion in the same period last year.
The statement attributed the rise in revenues to the increase in tax revenues by 28.4 percent.
