A number of Cairo airport employees held on Monday a sit-in at the airport in protest at referring eight colleagues for interrogation. Earlier, the newly-appointed head of Cairo airport Mahmoud Essmat has ordered the referral of a number of airport employees to interrogation after they held a protest on Wednesday outside the aviation ministry headquarters.
