Egypt has welcomed the progress achieved in negotiations on pending issues between Sudan and South Sudan through the seven agreements the twp parties signed in Addis Ababa earlier Thursday regulating relations between them as related to borders, security arrangements , South- Sudan oil exports through the Sudan’s pipelines inter-trade and other economic topics and future cooperation, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman . Amr Rushdi noted that this agreement will contribute to the resumption of South Sudan oil exports through the Sudan’s pipelines, territory and ports. He added that the agreement will also help improving the economic conditions in the two countries and paving the way for further progress on resolving the pending issues between them, including borders, citizenship as well as security and economic arrangements. The foreign ministry spokesman also considered that signing those agreements is regarded a step forward toward resolving all pending matters noting that the summit held between the two leaders over the past days has much contributed to close the gap between them as concerning all pending issues . The spokesman also welcomed the progress achieved in the implementation of the roadmap adopted by the AU Peace and Security Council. He stressed that Egypt is ready to continue its support and assistance to the efforts of both sides, according to their needs in order to reach a lasting settlement for the pending issues, whether at the level of bilateral cooperation or as a member of the AU Peace and Security Council.
