Jenin - Ma'an
Some 2,500 dunams of agricultural land burned down on Saturday, after an accidental fire broke out in the northern West Bank, officials said. The blaze destroyed 2,000 dunams of cypress and pine trees, and 410 dunams of olive trees, near Ziba village in the Jenin-district, adjacent to Israel's separation wall, civil defense officials told Ma'an. Two abandoned house were also partially burned, they said, noting that firefighters and volunteers spent six hours controlling the blaze. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, but appeared to be accidental, with the civil defense warning citizens to take care with outdoor barbecues.
