Over 200 shops were destroyed as a big fire broke out at a firecracker market in Faridabad near Indian capital New Delhi Tuesday evening, local media reported.
The accident took place at Faridabad's famous Dussehra Ground. Five people were reportedly injured and 20 cars were damaged in the fire.
The fire is reportedly under control and the cause of the fire was being investigated, local police said.
Loud explosions were heard for about 15 minutes as the fire engulfed the shopping stalls, eyewitnesses said.
