A number of pilots of the Libyan Airlines in Benghazi went on strike today, in protest against the adoption of a training centre for Libyan pilots in Germany instead of Tunisia.Director of the company in Benghazi region Riad Al Thulth said in a statement to the Libyan News Agency that the pilots who fly Airbus 320 trips went on strike because of their refusal of the conducting of training and technical tests with German Lufthansa, which was adopted by the Civil Aviation Authority recently.Al Thulth said the strike, which was not announced in advance, affected passengers and caused losses to the company, explaining that the majority of travelers were patients receiving treatment abroad. He added that though the pilots were asked to end the strike due to the conditions of the patient they refused to do so.Al Thulth pointed out that Libyan Airlines continues to operate domestic flights and try to resume international flights
