Baghdad - MENA
Dozens of employees at the Iraqi railway company staged a protest and blocked a number of roads in Baghdad in protest against the delay of their salaries.
The traffic movement came to a complete halt as a result of the protest.
An official at the Iraqi transportation ministry contacted yesterday the finance ministry in order to disburse the salaries of the employees but the decision was delayed as the financial ministry refused to lend the general company of the railway as it is a losing company.
