South Africa's platinum mineworkers have rejected a fresh wage increase offer from firms that are hoping to end a week-long strike, a union official said Thursday. "We've been mandated to go back to the drawing board. The strike will end after our demands are met, for now the strike continues," Reuben Lesejane, branch secretary for the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union, told AFP.
