Charlize Theron and her boyfriend Sean Penn were accused of possibly mistreating the actress' son, Jackson, after a stranger saw the couple letting the toddler scream in a tantrum.
Theron, Penn and Jackson were at Vasquez Rocks for "a sunrise picnic," according to TMZ, when a woman started filming the actress' son screams. She later reportedly the scene to the police, who rushed to the scene to check out the situation.
After questioning the couple, cops determined they did nothing wrong. Theron and Penn told officials Jackson was crying because he was in time out and got really upset, and officials dropped their questioning after realizing they did not physically hurt the child in any way.
The Oscar winning actors went public with their relationship in January at Penn's annual Help Haiti Home gala. Theron adopted Jackson in 2012.
