Los Angeles - UPI
The one fatality in a four-car crash involving reality star Bruce Jenner has been identified as Kim Howe. She was 69.
Howe, a resident of Calabasas, was driving the Lexus that collided with a Toyota Prius stopped on the Pacific Coast Highway on Saturday. Jenner was behind an SUV that presumably rear-ended the Lexus and pushed it onto oncoming traffic.
According to the Los Angeles Times the California Department of Motor Vehicles determined the Howe hadn't had a valid drivers license since 2007, when it expired.
Sgt. Philip Brooks of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said investigators will try to get their hands on the phone records from all the drivers involved in the crash to determine if any of them were texting during the incident. Jenner has reportedly already given permission to authorities to look over his.
A day after the incident, the reality star issued a statement offering "heartfelt and deepest sympathies... to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident."
