Karim Benzema insists the Real Madrid fans have yet to see the best of him. The France international played a starring role in Saturday's 5-1 La Liga mauling of Athletic Bilbao, scoring once and being heavily involved in two other goals. It was an impressive all-round display from the 24-year-old on his return from injury, but the former Lyon man played down suggestions it may have been his best performance in Madrid colours. Benzema, who joined the Spanish giants in 2009, was also adamant there is still more to come from him. "I can't say if it was the most complete game because I have had other more decisive matches in the past," he said AS. "But the most important thing is that, after my injury, I felt very good physically. After 15 days out I needed to feel the pleasure of playing again. My best game is still to come!" Madrid's victory over Athletic was their seventh in their last eight games in La Liga after a disappointing start to the campaign and kept the champions within eight points of leaders Barcelona. Benzema added: "What's important is that the great Real Madrid of last season have returned."
