A booby-trapped car went off Monday in Sadr city in eastern Baghdad.

Security forces and ambulances rushed to the scene, eyewitnesses and security sources said.

No immediate reports on casualties were available.

Meanwhile, scores of Iraqis protested in Khadra region over the abduction of journalist Afrah Shawqi who was kidnapped last week.
