A huge blast has hit a site used by the terrorist group of Daesh in Hawija of Iraq, a source was quoted by local media as saying on Saturday.
The source, who asked not to be identified, said that the nature of the explosion was not immediately known.
A number of Daesh militants were killed, according to initial information.
Earlier today, four citizens were killed and nine others were injured when an explosive device went off, targeting displaced people escaping from regions controlled by Daesh in northern Salah Al Din governorate, according to a security source.
Daesh is still controlling Hawija and a number of areas, south of Kirkuk.
