The Iraqi army has deployed combat units and armored vehicles to the outskirts of the northwestern city of Talafar ahead of an operation to liberate it from Daesh terrorist group. 
Sky News said Wednesday preparations for the operation are taking place as Iraqi jets hit Daesh posts inside Talafar. 
Iraqi authorities had made it clear that Talafar would be the next target of the military troops in their fight against the extremist group.
