A total of 40 members of Daesh terrorist group were killed on Friday after international-led coalition shelled an area near Palmyra city, Al Arabiya quoted the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying on Sunday.
The raids allowed the Syrian regime forces to achieve limited advancement into the western area of the city.
The raids also destroyed a number of vehicles and ranks and also injured a number of Daesh terrorists.
Last week, the terrorist group re-controlled the ancient city after it was expelled from it nine months ago.
