The Syrian army said on Tuesday that one of its military aircraft fell down south of Syria.
A probe was launched into the incident, Sky News TV channel quoted the army as saying.
The announcement comes after the Free Syrian Army's Lions of the East Army announced that it shot down a military aircraft in the eastern countryside of Suwayda near the border with Jordan.
