Russian raids on the eastern part of Aleppo could have reached more than 30 in the wee hours of Friday, the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
In statements to the BBC Radio on Friday, Rami Abdel Rahman said several air strikes were also conducted in districts in western Aleppo, as well as Kafr Aleppo in western Rif Aleppo.
He added that most of Hasakah is under the control of the Syrian democratic forces. Therefore, Daesh launches attacks against the city in a bid to advance in northeastern Syria, Abdel Rahman noted.
Syria has been engulfed in a deadly civil war since 2011, with the government fighting a number of rebel groups, leaving behind more than 400,000 deaths.
Aleppo, a northern city that was once a thriving trade hub, has become a central battleground in the five-year Syrian war and is facing a humanitarian disaster.
