Damascus - SANA
The rubble removal in the Yarmouk Camp on the southern outskirts of Damascus continues as part of an integrated plan to rehabilitate what has been destroyed by the terrorist organizations.
Last May, the Syrian Arab Army defeated terrorist organizations from Yarmouk Camp.
The process of rehabilitating the Camp began soon after declaring it and the area of southern Damascus free of terrorism. The Syrian Arab Army engineers started dismantling the mines and booby traps planted earlier by the terrorists in the houses and streets before they were defeated.
Secretary of the Palestinian Resistance factions’ Coalition in Syria Khalid Abdul-Majid told SANA that process of removing the rubble and cleaning the streets of Yarmouk Camp is carried out in coordination with the authorities concerned in two phases: the first phase is expected to last about 45 days and includes the complete removal of rubble, to be followed by the implementation of the second phase which will see the establishment of a committee of experts to examine the buildings and start restoration and reconstruction.
